The Emergence Foundation

In 2019 we secured a €10k grant from the Emergence Foundation, a non-profit organisation focused on fostering personal, societal, and global transformation. Their mission is to help create a more compassionate, equitable and sustainable world by supporting innovative projects and change-makers in areas such as education, community building, arts, ecology and spiritual growth. They believe that transformative change begins with individuals and communities, and their work emphasises the importance of collaboration, creativity and consciousness in regenerating global culture.

With the grant we commissioned renowned nature artist Richard Allen to help us show off Wild Finca throughout the seasons, share some of the wildlife that calls her home and our vision for her. Using Richard’s artwork and with the help of friend Ewout de Vos we created The Wild Finca Guide, as well as a series of display boards for around Wild Finca. The rest of the grant was spent on educational books, kit for getting educational groups hands on with nature in the field from mist nets to magnifying glasses, pond dipping equipment to moth traps.
